Wilder Lazo, originally a veterinarian specialized in livestock farming, shifted his focus to coffee farming in 2016 when coffee prices declined and his father fell ill. He revitalized the family farm, Finca Bella Alejandría in Huila, Colombia, using precision agriculture. Wilder's approach involved analyzing soil samples and applying targeted nutrients and fertilizers to balance the soil's pH, enhancing nutrient availability for coffee trees. His efforts significantly improved the farm's coffee quality, which now scores highly on the cupping scale. Wilder's dedication and innovative techniques have transformed the farm, producing exceptional coffees and ensuring sustainable growth for his family's legacy.

The coffee cherries are selected with a Brix level above 25 degrees, then floated to discard dry and immature beans. They undergo an 80-hour fermentation in sealed bags, followed by 120 hours in tanks without CO2, with controlled pH and temperature. The beans are then dried in a marquesina for 20 to 30 days under shade, achieving a 10.5% moisture content. Finally, they are stabilised for 30 days and packed in GrainPro bags. This meticulous process highlights the exceptional quality and unique characteristics of this Gesha variety.
